Mother Teresa

The name of Mother Teresa is herself a world famous institute. She is a woman of white saree, love & kindness. She sacrificed her total life for the cause of distress & poor. She was born on August 26, 1920 in Albania. Her father was an Albanian. She was the youngest daughter of her parents. When she was very young girl, she came to India. She began teaching at a girl’s school in Calcutta. The sufferings of the sick and destitute on the street of Calcutta moved her extremely. In 1952 she established “Nirmol Hridoy” for the dying and helpless people. In 1953 she started an orphanage for the orphan and handicapped, specially for the leprosy infected. She sacrificed her whole life for the home less, food less & treatment less people. She did all her jobs with motherly affection. So she is called “Mother Teresa”. She was unmarried in her whole life. She got many prizes for her benevolent works. In 1989 she was awarded Nobel prize in peace. She passed away on 5th September at 1997.
